Dr. Manoj Kumar Yadav

Assistant Professor

Dr. Manoj Kumar Yadav currently teaches at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Hamirpur, India. Before joining NIT, he worked as an Assistant Professor (Ad-hoc) at Ramjas College, Delhi University. He holds a Ph.D. in Translation Studies from the English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad. He has also been a recipient of TRSS fellowship granted by University College London. His research interest includes translation and language politics, inter-semiotic translation and postcolonial translation. He has worked on early Hindi-Urdu prose translations, translation and the debate around national language in nineteenth century, and on translations of Kabir in the colonial period. He has been associated with Central Hindi Directorate, India, as a Resource Person for the preparation of a self-instructional manual in Hindi.
