Dr. Dilshad Ahmad Khan is a regular faculty of N.I.T Hamirpur. He has joined N.I.T Hamirpur as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering on 21/12/2018. Before joining N.I.T. Hamirpur Dr. Khan has served in Aligarh Muslim University in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering & Technology. Dr. Khan got his Doctoral degree (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Delhi with the specialization in Production. For his research work he has filed three Indian Patents and received Four National Level Awards including Gandhian Young Technological Innovation Award, organized by Rashtrapati Bhawan (President House), New Delhi. He is continuously engaged in teaching and research. He has around eight international journal papers and 12 international conference publications credited on this name. The field of his research interests are (but not limited to) Advanced Machining, Nano-finishing, Magneto-rheological finishing and Industrial Automation. Research Interests : My research interests focus on Advanced Machining, Nano-finishing, Magnetorheological Finishing, Industrial Automation.
Brief Research Statement : Dr Dilshad Ahmad Khan has received his PhD on magnetorheological finishing of soft and ductile materials from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Delhi. In his PhD work, he has worked on finishing of copper and aluminium up to the nanometer level of surface finish by the indigenously developed magnetorheological fluid.
