Dr. Ram Niwash Mahia was born in Shri Dungargarh, Bikaner, Rajasthan, India in 1987. He received his B.E. degree in Electronics Instrumentation and Control Engineering from Govt. Engineering College Bikaner, Bikaner, Rajasthan, India in 2007, M.E. degree in Electrical Engineering (Control & Instrumentation) from Delhi College of Engineering (now Delhi Technological University) Delhi, India in 2009, and Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur, Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India in 2018. He worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, NCR Campus, Modinagar, U.P., India from August 2018 to July 2019. Also, he worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics Instrumentation & Control Engineering at Global Institute of Technology Jaipur, Rajasthan, India from March 2010 to August 2011. Currently, he is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Institute of Technology Hamirpur, Hamirpur (H.P.), India since October 2019. Dr. Mahia is the recipient of International Travel Grant Award to presenting conference paper at Malaysia in 2015 from SERB (DST) Govt. of India. He has authored and co-authored several National and International publications. He is also a potential reviewer for many reputed professional journals. His current research interests include Networked Control Systems, Complex Networks, Power Networks and Multi-Agent Systems.

Research Experience



Research Interests : Networked Control Systems, Complex Networks, Multi-Agent Systems, Power Networks etc.
Brief Research Statement : The behavior of the networked system has a strong relationship with topological structure of the networks. These relations provide an insight into a hidden connection between system behavior and the network structure. Therefore it is imperative to investigate this connection. In several applications, it is necessary to understand the influence of a node (or a set of nodes) on a specific node (or a set of specific nodes). The structure of the network plays a significant role to understand the effect of one node on any other node in a complex network. Therefore, to explore this work in various real world applications of networked control systems such as power networks, robotic networks, social networks etc.
